It’s almost as laughable as accusing Fox News as, you know, being news.

Just a reminder!

[Please excuse the worst graphic ever.]

And i would appreciate people reblogging this!

I decided to change things up a little for my 2nd giveaway. After coming up with the idea yesterday of it being something people submitted art to, with the “theme” being it be based off the title of one of my images, i was thinking about how i didn’t want to limit who would end up submitting to only those who would be interested in one of my prints. So, given that i was just talking about how much i make off my “art”, i figured that if the winner doesn’t want one of my prints, i will instead pay them roughly the monetary value of one of my 10x15’s [50$ US]. It’s not a huge amount, but it’s something, and i figure how better to help support another artist? Because of this though, i’ll require those who enter hoping to win for the cash prize have a Paypal account. [Sorry guys!]

Please read the following, because if your submission is lacking anything below it will be disqualified.

1. One entry per person, which can be in any medium. Photo, painting, illustration, mixed media, whatever, it just has to be one of the visual arts. No videos, stories, or songs though, sorry.
2. Image has to be based off ONE of the following three titles:

The Great Unveiling
Seeking Illumination
The Last Song You’ll Ever Sing

Submissions can be as vague or as literal as you like, and don’t need to have anything to do with my original image. I will choose a winner based on who i feel does the best job of creating an image based on the chosen title, simple as that.

Sending submissions:

You can either send me the image directly through email to: contest @ caryndrexl.com or upload it online somewhere and email me a link to it. [Like Flickr.] Emailed submissions should be jpgs no longer than 800px on the longest side.

Please include the following information in your email:

Name:
Email:
Title you based the image on:
Free 10x15 of your choosing OR 50$ US:

and, if applicable, a link to where you uploaded the image:

Contest starts as soon as this post goes live.
Deadline to submit images will be 12am [EST], March 1st, 2012.
Winner will be notified by 12am [EST] March 3rd, 2012. If i don’t hear back from the winner by March 10th, the prize will move on to the runner up. Runner up will have till the 17th to get back to me, and so on.
There is NO FEE to enter this contest.
There will only be one winner, whose winning image i will post online [blog, tumblr, etc] though i will likely post my favorite runner ups as well.
I alone will be judging the contest, though if it ends up being too hard to choose, or there is a tie, i’m probably going to make my girlfriend help.
If the winner desires the cash prize, they must have a paypal account. If they don’t, they are disqualified. [Harsh, i know, it’s just the best/easiest way for me to pay the winner. I am not comfortable sending payment through the mail.]
Should the winner opt to receive a 10x15 print of an image [of mine] of their choosing they will be receiving a professionally printed matte finish 10x15 on Kodak Endura Professional Paper, the same as all the prints i sell. It will be signed and dated [with year] on the back in archival marker. Packaging and shipping will be the same as well. If you are curious about all the details on my prints and how i package/ship, check out THIS LISTING
Anyone caught submitting multiple entries is disqualified.
Open to anyone, anywhere.
